Hey there! I’m Peter and I’m a photographer in the beautiful city of San Francisco. I love this craft because it offers a unique way of capturing and conveying the beauty around us. I find it incredibly fulfilling, even when I first started years ago in my high school darkroom. There, I was learning the foundations of photography—loading film, developing, and printing images by hand. Today that enthusiasm continues to grow as I build upon this craft.
My other interests include graphic design, coffee, and playing music. I'll play any instrument I can get my hands on, even the accordion.
As for bands I listen to, I love Fleet Foxes, Sigur Rós, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, Real Estate, City and Colour, The Radio Dept, Josh Garrels, Feist, and tons of old jazz musicians like Oscar Peterson, Lester Young, and Django Reinhardt.
Did I mention I love coffee? I know everybody likes coffee but I really like it. I love it so much that I even roast my own coffee. That doesn't mean I never go to cafés like Four Barrel and Andytown but there's something great about home-roasting.
I'm passionate about Jesus but I try not to be weird about it. I like this verse a lot: "This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles."
So why do I take photographs? And why do I shoot weddings?
First off, I can’t help but take photos! Photography is such a great experience. Second, I love people. I love making new friends and sharing life together. Photography allows me to do that. And third, there is just something special about weddings. I am captivated by the detail and effort that is poured into these unique events. I love the interaction between the bride and groom, their friends, and their family. I look forward to every wedding and I feel privileged to be there for the occasion.
Anyways, let’s hang out! We’ll grab coffee and talk.
